Universiteit Leiden SCIS Housing joined forces with Stichting Universitaire Woonwijk Boerhaave (SUWB / Boerhaave Foundation), DUWO, Kolpa and SHWJ (Stichting Huisvesting Werkende Jongeren) to make the search for housing in Leiden and surroundings easier and to help international staff members find their new home.
About SUWB
SUWB has redevelopped the buildings at the Boerhaavelaan, Van Swietenstraat, Mariƫnpoelstraat and the Anatomy Building in Leiden. These apartments are mainly for housing PhD candidates and researchers at Leiden University.
About DUWO
DUWO is a student housing corporation and provides housing in Amsterdam, Delft, The Hauge, Deventer, Leiden, Haarlem, Wageningen and Groningen. DUWO has a number of short stay studios especially reserved for international staff members via SCIS Housing in the city centre of Leiden (Hugo de Grootstraat, Hooigracht, Middelstegracht, Sigmaplantsoen, Waardgracht).
About Kolpa
Kolpa V.V.S. is a rental management agent, is based in Rotterdam and was founded in the 1940s. Kolpa is concerned with the daily management of our accommodations at the Wassenaarseweg, Sterrenwachtlaan, Kloksteeg and 5e Binnenvestgracht (University Lodge).
About SHWJ
The SHWJ was founded in 1970 and is a non-profit insitution. SHWJ started with social housing units for families and nowadays has almost 900 housing units in the start-up segment, which are rernted out to young people aged between 18 and 35 years. SHWJ is concerned with the daily management of the accommodations of SUWB (Stichting Universitaire Woonwijk Boerhaave / Boerhaave Foundation) at the Boerhaavelaan, Van Swietenstraat, Mariƫnpoelstraat and the Anatomy Building (Van Rijsselpad, Verhaartpad, Dankmeijerpad).
